Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification and a CA RN license.
Requirements
Active CA RN license required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
ACLS and NRP certifications required within 6 months of hire if not already held
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course required at hire and renewed every two years
Novice L&D nurses must complete AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring course during first 6-8 months of orientation
Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience required
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Responsibilities
Labor and Delivery unit following an LDRP model
36 hours per week on rotating night shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
No call requirements
Requires EPIC experience
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as a Registered Nurse
Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care responsibilities
Position is represented by CNA (California Nurses Association)
Adhere to established Standards of Nursing Practice and promote teamwork among the healthcare team
Participate in shared governance and hospital committees
Adhere to all applicable professional, regulatory, and hospital policies and procedures
Attend mandatory ethics training program
Local candidates accepted with no radius rule; local rates match travel rates
Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will not be considered
Candidates with any prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
