Job description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active IL RN license and at least three years of relevant nursing experience.
Requirements
Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification through the American Heart Association required
Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
ASN required, BSN preferred
Epic charting experience required
Level 1 Trauma experience required
Responsibilities
Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
Provides inpatient care to the obstetric patient population
Participates in intrapartum care for patients undergoing labor, delivery, and surgical delivery
Monitors fetal well-being and administers medication specific to obstetric patients
Night shift schedule from 7:0a to 7:30p
36 hours per week over three 12-hour shifts
Every other weekend required
Holiday coverage required
Floating required
Performs initial patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care
Implements and modifies nursing interventions based on continuous evaluation
Maintains accurate nursing documentation for continuity of care
Collaborates with the healthcare team and offers peer feedback for professional development
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 year and must complete a 6-month break in service before returning to any facility within the health system
