Job description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring WA State/Compact licensure and NRP/FHM certifications.
Requirements
Active WA State or Compact RN license
Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and FHM
Must function within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice
Responsibilities
Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
Night shift schedule: 3x12s, 36 hrs/week,
No on-call responsibilities
Must float as a sitter and may float in rotation
Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit-specific standards
Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
Document assessments, care plans, interventions, and patient responses accurately
Perform ongoing holistic patient assessments and respond appropriately
Provide patient and family education on relevant health information
Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff per hospital policy
