Job description
American Traveler is seeking a RN for a Med/Surg/PCU night shift position requiring an active WA or compact RN license and at least 3 years of experience.
Requirements
Active WA or compact RN license
Minimum 3 years of recent nursing experience required
Experience across MedSurg, PCU, and Telemetry areas required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Responsibilities
25-bed Critical Access Hospital setting
Combined MedSurg/PCU unit with telemetry capability
Night shift schedule
Must be willing to flex between MedSurg, PCU, and Telemetry departments as needed
Provide patient and family education using appropriate teaching methods
Implement patient safety measures including fall precautions and proper restraint use per policy
Demonstrate safe operation and troubleshooting of PCU, Telemetry, and MedSurg equipment
Follow infection control and standard precaution protocols
Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, interventions, and physician orders
Communicate effectively during shift report and with other departments
Report critical lab values to physicians per policy
Maintain and restock emergency carts and unit supplies
Minimal RTO availability during the upcoming holiday season
