Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a day shift hospital assignment requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and an OK or compact RN license.
Requirements
Active OK or compact RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
EKG course/telemetry test certification required
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
Epic charting experience required
Skilled in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and cardiac monitoring/dysrhythmia management
Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
Experience with wound care, isolation precautions/PPE, and PCA/thrombolytic medication management
Valid driver's license or state-issued ID and a utility bill with matching address within the last 3 months required for consideration
Two supervisory references required
Responsibilities
Medical Surgical unit with a telemetry patient population
Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Epic charting system used
Floating to other units or sister Integris facilities within 75 miles may be required if needed
No block scheduling accommodations available
Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Manage a variety of clinical needs including renal, neurological, gastrointestinal, and orthopedic conditions
Perform wound care, insulin drip titration, and total joint replacement/traction care as needed
Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this assignment
Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed per 13-week assignment, with no holiday RTO accepted
Must have at least 1 year of separation from Integris if previously employed there
First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
Local candidates are not accepted for this position
