Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring ICU, ER, and Med/Surg experience and an active OH or compact RN license.
Requirements
Active OH or compact RN license required
1 year of experience in Emergency Department, ICU, and Med/Surg required
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Must provide COVID vaccination card if vaccinated
Responsibilities
Float pool position covering ER, Med/Surg, and ICU units within a general medical surgical hospital
12-hour night shift schedule with a Sunday through Saturday work week
Uses Meditech EMR
Must be willing to float to other areas as assigned and accept low census as needed
Weekend and holiday work required
Provide direct and indirect patient care while communicating with physicians, nurse managers, and coworkers regarding changes in patient condition
Perform thorough patient assessments and respond quickly and calmly to changes in condition or crisis situations
Work independently, delegate appropriately, and adhere to unit staffing and personnel policies
No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted during the assignment
