Job description
American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with an active IL RN license and at least 2 years of experience for a day-shift position with a 1:6 patient ratio.
Requirements
Active IL RN license required in hand
Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certification required
NIHSS and CPI certification preferred
Nursys report required (pulled within the last 2 weeks)
Responsibilities
Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
Patient ratio of 1:6
Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM)
Required to work every other weekend
Floating required
Utilizes Epic charting system
Provides cardiac monitoring and emergency response
Performs interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Cares for telemetry, respiratory, and tracheostomy patients
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Accepts local candidates at the same bill rate
Former UCM, PRN, or Ingalls permanent staff must have separated employment for at least 7 months before returning as a traveler
RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days
Non-billable orientation modules (2-3 hours) must be completed during orientation
