Job description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Hospice unit position requiring an active WA or Compact RN license and BLS certification.
Requirements
Active WA State or Compact RN license required
Current BLS certification required
Knowledge of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit specific standards of practice
Responsibilities
Hospice unit within a hospital setting
Day shift schedule,
5x8-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
No on-call responsibilities
Epic (Dorothy/Comfort Care module) experience preferred
Coordinate and provide compassionate, high-quality patient care using the nursing process
Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
Perform holistic ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately
Evaluate and update discharge plans based on patient needs
Educate patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information
Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
Collaborate and communicate with all members of the healthcare team
Maintain a clean and safe environment according to hospital and unit policies
Participate in ongoing performance evaluation and improvement processes
