Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Outpatient Oncology Infusion RN with OCN certification and EPIC/Beacon experience for a day-shift assignment.
Requirements
Active VA RN license or compact license in hand
Required certifications: BLS and Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC)
OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification required
EPIC charting experience required
NIH and stroke education required
Specialty experience within the last year required
No travel experience required
Responsibilities
Outpatient clinic infusion suite with 8 chairs and 2 private bedrooms
Oncology patient population receiving chemotherapy, immune/biotherapies, blood products, antibiotics, and other infusions/injections
Expected patient ratio of 1:4
Uses EPIC/Beacon EMR
Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Floating may be requested based on facility needs
Administer chemotherapy, immune/biotherapies, blood products, antibiotics, and infusions/injections in an outpatient oncology setting
Local candidates accepted at the same base rate
Previous permanent employees must have a gap of at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
RTO should be minimal, with no more than 7 days total and no full calendar weeks off during the assignment
All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial submission; no additional requests will be approved after an offer is made
