Job description
American Traveler is hiring an RN - Med/Surg for a hospital unit requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent specialty experience.
Requirements
Active CO or compact RN license required
BLS certification (AHA) required and must not expire prior to start
ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification may be required as appropriate for unit or service
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
ASN required; BSN preferred
Epic EMR experience preferred
DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
Responsibilities
Med/Surg unit setting in a hospital environment
Shift: 3x12hr Days,
Rotating weekend requirement
36 hours per week
May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
Uses Epic for charting
Perform independent nursing functions including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
Provide health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic treatment to support patient recovery
Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
Promote facility mission, vision, and values through service behavior standards
Returning staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
First-time travelers may be considered for this position
