Job description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Acute position requiring CA RN licensure and Epic EMR experience on day shift.
Requirements
Active CA RN license required
BLS and ACLS certification required
BSN preferred
Acute care facility experience preferred
Minimum of two years of recent experience in Med/Surg specialty required
No prior adverse licensure actions permitted
Responsibilities
Med/Surg Acute unit setting in an acute care hospital
Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
13-week contract assignment
Epic EMR experience required
Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and the nursing process
Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care across disciplines
Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses and care plans
Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to provide safe, healing, and humane care
Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care
Provide patient and family education on health informationCandidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates with no radius restriction
Required vaccinations must be met as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered
