Job description
American Traveler is hiring an Outpatient Oncology RN with ONS Provider certification for a 13-week contract providing infusion therapy and chemotherapy care in a rural outpatient setting.
Requirements
Active Utah or compact state RN license required
Current ONS Provider certification required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Graduate of an accredited nursing school
Wound Care certification preferred but not required
Less than 1 year of experience required
Strong knowledge of infection control principles and patient safety techniques
Full COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required
Responsibilities
Outpatient Nursing Services (OPNS) setting providing oncology care
Responsibilities include infusion therapy, chemotherapy administration, and some wound care
Works closely with a small patient population, fostering ongoing patient relationships
Day shift schedule, 8am-5pm
13-week contract length
Uses Meditech EMR
No holiday coverage required
Rural hospital setting requiring flexibility to perform a wide range of general nursing duties
Strong critical thinking skills needed to manage rapidly changing patient situations
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team
Excellent communication and customer service skills required
Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive patient information
Reliable, timely, and adaptable to additional duties as assigned
