Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg day shift position requiring at least 2 years of experience and a Maine or compact RN license.
Requirements
Active RN license (Maine or Compact) required
BLS and other AHA certifications required, with non-AHA certifications accepted at submission but AHA required before start
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Driver's license required for consideration
2 professional references required
Responsibilities
Work in the Med Surg General unit of a hospital environment
Day shift schedule
Uses EPIC EMR
Float policy requires floating within a 25-mile radius between facilities as needed
Provide general medical-surgical nursing care
Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local
Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this information
Air pods, laptops, and cell phone use are prohibited on the unit
