Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med Surg/Telemetry RN with EPIC experience for a 13-week night shift contract requiring an active NY RN license.
Requirements
Active NY RN license required
Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
Strong proficiency and experience on Cardiac/Tele or Med-Tele units required
EPIC EMR experience required
Ability to comfortably interpret, measure, and document cardiac rhythms twice per shift
Must pass a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance
Must have own reliable transportation
Strong attendance record required with no history of call-outs
Responsibilities
Telemetry/Neuro unit (T6) within a community hospital setting
16-bed unit with a 4:1 RN to patient ratio
Primarily adult to geriatric cardiac and telemetry patients
Remote tele monitoring unit requiring interpretation, measurement, and documentation of cardiac rhythms twice per shift
Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week (3x12)
Every other weekend required
No on-call requirements
Provide direct patient care on a busy cardiac/telemetry unit
Neuro/stroke experience preferred
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Dress code allows personal scrubs of any color, no designs, cartoons, or hoodies
Candidates must disclose any prior experience at this facility or its affiliated health system
Requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to assignment start, with no more than 5 days accepted
No block scheduling will be considered for this assignment
Candidates residing in certain nearby NY counties will not be considered for this travel assignment
First-time travelers may be considered
