Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience and a CO or compact RN license.
Requirements
Active RN license (CO or compact) currently in hand
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele, Cardiac Tele, or Tele experience required
Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry unit monitoring
Experience with respiratory care including HFNC, ABG interpretation, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy care
Experience with heparin protocols and titrating cardiac drips
Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drip titration
Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE
Any charting system experience accepted
Responsibilities
Med/Surg Tele unit assignment
Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:00-6:30)
Patient ratio of 1:6
Call requirement of 2 shifts per month, which may fall on days or nights depending on unit needs
Uses Pyxis medication system and Amrita documentation system
Any scrub color accepted
Provide care to Med/Surg and telemetry patients, including cardiac, CVA, and neurological/psychiatric cases
RTO requests require manager approval
