Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a 12-hour night shift position requiring an active NH or compact RN license and 2+ years of acute care experience.
Requirements
Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Must pass a Dysrhythmia Exam with 80% or higher during onboarding
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
2 recent Charge/Manager RN references required, matching specialty
Responsibilities
Med/Surg Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting
12-hour night shifts (7p-7a), 3 shifts per week, every other weekend
Utilizes Cardizem and Insulin drips (insulin for hyperglycemia, not DKA) and Phenobarbital on telemetry
May be requested to float to a nearby affiliated facility in Laconia, NH
No on-call requirements
Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit, managing cardiac drips and related medications
Weekly orientation provided
First-time travelers with strong experience will be considered
Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at the local rate
Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
RTO must be submitted and disclosed at time of consideration
