Job description
American Traveler is hiring an RN - Med/Surg Tele for a 48-bed adult med/surg unit requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg Tele experience and prior neuro experience.
Requirements
Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license
BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
NIHSS certification required
CPI-A certification required
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience required
Previous neuro experience required
Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required
BSN or MSN preferred
Responsibilities
48-bed adult Med/Surg unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
Unit averages 3-4 admissions per day
Night shift schedule, 7:00pm-7:00am
12-hour shifts, 4 days per week
Every other weekend required
Every other holiday required
May be placed on standby (SB1) one shift per pay period if census drops
Remote telemetry experience highly preferred
Deliver competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards within a hospital setting
Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process while reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director
Care for patients with complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
Perform bedside point of care testing as required
Participate in discharge planning and coordinate with interdisciplinary team members
Collaborate with patients and families to develop and update plans of care
Engage in performance improvement activities and unit goal development
