Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a Float Pool position requiring 2+ years of experience and an active MA RN license.
Requirements
Active MA RN license required in hand
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
Telemetry experience required for floating assignments
Must pass Tele/ECG and Medication competency testing
COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)
Responsibilities
Float Pool position covering Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
12-hour rotating shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a)
36 hours per week over a 4-week assignment
Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Self-scheduling process with staffing coordinator balancing the schedule
Med/Surg ratios are 5:1 (7a-11p) and 6:1 (11p-7a)
Telemetry ratios are 4:1 (7a-11p) and 5:1 (11p-7a)
Float between Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units as needed based on staffing needs
No guaranteed RTO for this assignment
Radius rule of 50 miles applies and local candidates are not accepted
Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
No separation from BILH required for current travelers
First-time travelers may be considered
