Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for an LTAC night shift position requiring SC or compact RN license and EPIC EMR experience.
Requirements
Active SC or compact RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in LTAC MS/Tele, MS, or PCU required
Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and trauma level I/II experience preferred
Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Responsibilities
LTAC Med/Surg Tele unit setting
Night shift 3x12 or 4x12, 7p-7:30a
Every other weekend coverage, may vary based on unit needs
Floating required to other units/campuses based on census needs, within demonstrated competencies
Uses Omnicell medication system
Provide nursing care for patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring in an LTAC setting
Skills include medication management, respiratory/ventilator care, IV therapy, renal/GU care, wound care, and cardiac monitoring
Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance requirements
Pre-assignment testing and modules required for all travelers, to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
Travelers must be more than 100 miles from any Prisma facility to be eligible, with an exception allowing night shift travelers in this specialty to be 50+ miles from the contracted campus
