Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and an active KY or compact RN license.
Requirements
Active RN license (KY or compact) required
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Minimum 2+ years of RN experience required
Med/Surg experience required
Acute care experience preferred, some rehab experience preferred
Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Responsibilities
Critical access hospital setting on the 2nd floor Medical Surgical Combination unit
Specialty is Med/Surg with swing beds
16 Med/Surg beds plus 2 ACU beds
Patient ratio of 6:1
Adult patient population with a geriatric mix, no pediatric patients
Common diagnoses include lower level acute and subacute rehab cases
Uses Medhost EHR
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Every other weekend or as-needed weekend coverage
Float requirement to ACU PRN, a light ICU setting with no ventilators
No call requirements
Facility is licensed as a critical access hospital offering inpatient, surgical, emergency, and diagnostic services
Provide nursing care across Med/Surg and swing bed patients with a geriatric mix
Scrubs must be solid colors with no specific color requirement, no fleece, hoodies, or non-scrub attire allowed
Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
Weekly orientation held on Mondays
