Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring at least three years of specialty experience and BLS certification.
Requirements
Active RN license in the state of practice required
BLS certification from an approved vendor required
BSN preferred
Acute care facility experience preferred
Minimum of three years of ICU experience required
No prior disciplinary action on license permitted
Responsibilities
Work in the Medical ICU unit of an acute care hospital
Variable schedule of 36-48 hours per week, mostly night shifts )
Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned patients following established standards of care and the nursing process
Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care with other disciplines
Collect and analyze patient data to determine diagnoses and develop care plans
Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, humane, and caring treatment
Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
Delegate tasks and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
Required vaccinations per organizational policy, with medical and religious exemptions available
Accepts local candidates at the same rate as traveler positions
Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
