Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Nursery position requiring NRP and STABLE certifications along with prior sick infant care experience.
Requirements
Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
Current BLS, STABLE, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Nursery experience required
Experience caring for sick infants required
Responsibilities
Perinatal unit with a dedicated Nursery separate from the Postpartum (PP) unit
Unit includes 6 LDRP rooms, 2 triage rooms, 5 PP/WHS rooms, and 2 NICU beds
Nursery nurses attend every delivery and provide care for infants
Approximately 80-90 births per month
Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, working every other weekend or every weekend
No floating to other units required
No charge nurse responsibilities required
No on-call requirements
Uses Centricity for charting and Paragon for medication administration
Patient ratios follow AWHONN standards
Provide direct care to newborns and attend all deliveries
Collaborate with PP unit while maintaining a separate Nursery environment for infant care
