Description
American Traveler is hiring a Level 1 experienced RN for a Mother-Baby Unit position requiring NRP and BLS certifications on a night shift schedule.
Details
Work in the Mother Baby Unit of a hospital setting
Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
Requirements
Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board or multistate compact eNLC)
Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
Level 1 experience required
Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer skills
Additional Information
Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions and treatments
Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products
Communicate care plans with patients and families, including at discharge
Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no push starts allowed
Onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screens, must begin immediately upon engagement
Returning workers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
