Job description
American Traveler is hiring a NICU RN for a night shift contract requiring NICU III/IV experience and a CT or compact RN license.
Requirements
Active CT or compact RN license required
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required
Epic charting experience required
Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
Experience with feedings (bottle, breast, gavage) and oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tube placement and management required
Experience with isolation precautions/PPE required
Experience with arterial line management, central line/implanted line care, UAC, and UVC required
Experience with IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids required
Experience with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome required
Previous charge experience preferred
1 reference required for consideration
Responsibilities
186-bed Magnet and teaching hospital facility
Work in the NICU III and NICU IV units
Patient population includes neonates less than 24-28 weeks gestation
Patient ratio of 1:3
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours )
Required to work every third weekend
Floating required as needed for department needs
Epic EMR used for charting
Scrubs provided for this role
Free parking available in any unrestricted space
Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only
Must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered
Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to return as a travel employee
Facility can auto-approve up to 7 days of requested time off
