Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a NICU position requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent NICU experience.
Requirements
Active TX or compact RN license required
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required
Epic charting system experience required
Skilled in ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
Experience with UAC/UVC, arterial line, and central line management
Experience with IV therapy, vasopressors, surfactants, and steroid administration
Experience with feeding management (bottle, breast, gavage) and NG/NJ tube placement
Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
Experience with neonatal abstinence syndrome care
State-issued ID, SSN, and DOB required for consideration
Responsibilities
Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
NICU III/IV level work setting
Patient population includes neonates Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4
On-call is voluntary
6 weekend shifts required within a 6 week schedule
3 holiday shifts required
Epic EMR experience required
Provide direct bedside care to critically ill and premature neonates in a Level III/IV NICU setting
Candidates residing within 90 miles are considered local and accepted at a lower bill rate
RTO requests limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request approved during Nov-Jan
All RTO must be approved by management prior to contract signing
Military certifications accepted, AHA preferred, ARC not accepted
First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
