Job description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Ambulatory Care procedure nurse position performing outpatient urology and plastics procedures, requiring at least 1 year of experience.
Requirements
Active MO or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and trauma level experience preferred
Previous charge experience preferred
Skills in medication reconciliation, patient history/allergy documentation, telephone triage, and follow-up calls
Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
Ability to work full shift, assigned weekends, call, and at least 50% of holidays during the contract
Responsibilities
Outpatient clinic setting providing ambulatory care procedures
Primary focus on urology and plastics procedures
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Cerner charting system preferred
Facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year, with rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and inclement weather work required
Mandatory floating may apply as part of organizational staffing needs
On-call availability required
Perform procedure nursing duties supporting urology and plastics outpatient cases
Routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
Holiday coverage required for at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible to apply
Candidates residing 51-74 miles away may be offered a local pay rate
Maximum RTO of 10 days permitted, with none allowed during the first week due to orientation
