Job description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position requiring at least one year of experience and a compact or OK RN license.
Requirements
Active RN license (Compact or OK) currently in hand
BLS certification from AHA required
Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
Responsibilities
Operating Room unit assignment
13-week contract with a 06:30-17:00 shift schedule
4/10's shift pattern with call requirements
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols
Implement and monitor patient care plans while monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition
Serve as a primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
Carry out physician and nursing orders
Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
Follow Standard Precautions using appropriate personal protective equipment
Local candidates accepted, subject to a radius rule that may affect pay rate
