Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of OR experience and active MI licensure.
Requirements
Active MI RN license required at time of consideration (no compact license accepted)
Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
Prior travel nursing experience preferred
Skills checklist completed within the past year required
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital Operating Room with 13 OR rooms
Hybrid OR equipped for complex vascular and less-invasive cardiac procedures
Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts ), 3 days per week
No weekend requirements
On-call required Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
Hospital-provided scrubs
Provide direct and indirect nursing care across the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the patient age continuum served by the unit
Facility is a regional leader in open heart surgery
Must reside within a 35-mile radius of the facility to qualify for the full travel rate
Full-time employees of the health system are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
No more than 5 days of requested time off allowed during the assignment
