Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring independent circulating experience in ortho, spine, and neuro surgeries.
Requirements
Active CT or Compact RN license required
4-5 years of OR RN or combined OR experience required
Independent circulating experience in ortho, spine, and neuro surgeries required
Scrub experience strongly preferred, especially in complex neuro, spine, ortho, and vascular cases
Experience with DaVinci robotic cases preferred
COVID medical/religious exemption accepted
Responsibilities
Work in the Operating Room Unit of a hospital environment
Surgical procedures include orthopedic, spine, and neurological cases
Variable shift start times (7a, 9:30a, 1p) with 10-hour day shifts
On-call required at least one weekend per month, including rotating weekends and holidays
30 minute call-back/report time requiredNo block scheduling
Scrubs provided by facility
Function as part of the OR team, participating in rotation for mandatory overtime coverage as needed
May float to other departments, units, or facilities within 30 miles of assigned facility
Time off requests must be minimized and approved prior to assignment confirmation
Accepts local candidates
Local rate applies within 75 miles; radius rate also available
