Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring CNOR certification, CA RN license, and prior travel nursing experience.
Requirements
Active CA RN license
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CNOR
Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience required
Community hospital experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Epic charting system experience required
Experience scrubbing a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties
2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
Responsibilities
Community hospital setting in the Operating Room department
1:1 patient ratio
Utilizes Epic charting system
Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, Monday-Thursday, 6:45 AM-5:15 PM
Rotating call required after hours and on weekends
Supports a wide range of surgical specialties including gynecology, orthopedics, general surgery, podiatry, ophthalmology, trauma, neurology, bariatrics, and thoracic procedures
Utilizes electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana table, and Steris equipment
Perform circulating and scrubbing duties across diverse surgical specialties including gynecology, orthopedics, general surgery, and more
Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
Experience with conscious sedation monitoring and infection control practices
Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
Holiday coverage required with only 1 holiday RTO request approved per contract
Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
Local candidates accepted at local pay rate within a 50-mile radius
Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before being eligible to return as a traveler
First-time travelers considered given required travel experience is already met
