Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment requiring cardiac scrub/circulate experience and an active CA RN license.
Requirements
Active CA RN license required
BLS (AHA) certification required
CNOR certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
Scrub and circulate experience required
Cardiac surgery experience required
Hepatobiliary, robotic, spine, and ophthalmology surgery experience required
Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required
Responsibilities
Operating Room setting within a hospital environment
4x10 day shifts with variable start times (7a, 9a, 11a, 1p)
Rotating weekends and OT support required
1:1 patient ratio
Any charting system experience accepted
Provide direct and indirect perioperative patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, care planning, education, and evaluation
Deliver individualized, holistic care coordinated across an interdisciplinary team
Foster collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, and other providers
Local candidates accepted at local rate
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate
Returning staff/travelers must have a 1-year separation before reapplying
Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
Only 1 holiday RTO request approved per contract
Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
7-year work history verification required
