Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring WA/Compact RN licensure and craniotomy and retina surgical experience.
Requirements
Active WA State or Compact RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
Surgical experience in craniotomy and retina procedures required
Must adhere to facility policies and unit-specific standards of practice
Responsibilities
Hospital-based Operating Room setting
Requires experience with craniotomy and retina procedures
4x10 hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
Day/Evening shift scheduled with 30 minute meal break
On-call responsibilities required
Required to float as a sitter and may float in rotation
Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit standards
Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
Perform ongoing holistic patient assessments and respond appropriately to changes in status
Educate patients and families on relevant health information in a timely manner
Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
Collaborate and communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team
Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff according to hospital policy
