Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room Circulator position requiring 3+ years of experience and the ability to independently circulate multiple surgical service lines.
Requirements
Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
Ability to independently circulate multiple service lines including Ortho, General Surgery, ENT, Cataracts, OB/GYN, Urology, and Endoscopy
Strong teamwork and communication skills required
Responsibilities
Operating Room unit with 6 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy suites
Circulator role serving infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
1:1 patient ratio per procedure
Uses MedHost Periop EHR system
Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Every other weekend required
On-call requirements of up to 8 days per month, including weekends and holidays, with a 30-minute response time
May be asked to float within the department
Circulate surgical procedures across multiple service lines including Ortho, General Surgery, Endoscopy, and more
Professional demeanor expected on the unit
Must wear navy scrubs provided by the hospital; casual wear and other facility-branded attire not permitted
Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at the local rate
Weekly orientation held on Mondays
Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
