Job description
American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a critical access hospital, requiring proficiency in Periop, Endo, and Recovery specialties with a VT or compact RN license.
Requirements
Active VT RN license or compact license required
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification through the American Heart Association
2+ years of current outpatient PACU experience required
Periop experience required
Endoscopy experience required
Must be able to start and maintain IV lines
Bachelor's degree preferred
Small critical access facility experience preferred
Must have own vehicle
Skills checklist required for PACU (current within 1 year)
Skills checklist required for Endoscopy (current within 1 year)
One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
Responsibilities
Outpatient setting covering Periop, Endoscopy, and Recovery departments at a critical access hospital
10-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM, Monday-Thursday with occasional Fridays when on call
Periop starts at 6:00 AM, Endo at 6:30 AM, and Recovery at 8:00 AM
Every 5th weekend and holidays required as needed, typically on a rotating basis
On-call required one night per week and every 5th weekend
Compact RN license accepted
Provide care across Periop, Endoscopy, and Recovery units, requiring high proficiency in each specialty
Prior travel nursing experience preferred
Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
No more than 5 days of requested time off will be considered
All scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application, as requests after offer may lead to a rescinded offer
