Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2+ years of recent pediatric ICU experience and at least one prior travel assignment.
Requirements
Active RN license in the state or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines (TN or compact license required)
Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric ICU experience required; 3+ years preferred
At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers not accepted unless 3+ years of recent experience
BSN required for this position
Driver's license copy required for consideration
Responsibilities
Work in the Cardiovascular Pediatric ICU (CVPICU) of a children's hospital
Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 PM)
Weekend coverage as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered upon discussion
Floating may occur between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular patients in a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
Holiday coverage required: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall during the assignment, must work 2 of the 3; if 2 holidays fall during the assignment, must work at least 1
Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning
Local candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered (strict radius rule, no locals accepted)
All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront, as RTO requested after an offer is made will not be honored
