Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2 years of Peds CVS ICU experience and an active MN RN license.
Details
Highly specialized pediatric cardiac surgery ICU providing advanced postoperative management of care
13-week assignment with day/night rotation and ), 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Floating required as needed to other areas within the Children's Center, including NICU and General Pediatric care areas
Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience required
Minimum 6 months of previous travel experience required, 1 year strongly preferred
Strong cardiac monitoring skills, central/arterial line management, and pacemaker management required
Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate, associate, or diploma nursing program
ECG exam required during orientation
Additional Information
Coordinate nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care
Function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, accountable for planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing care
Provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts
Delegate patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, and resource adequacy
COVID vaccination and booster required for consideration
Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment due to low census
Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date before requiring a break
