Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a geriatric dementia unit requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.
Requirements
Active TN or compact RN license required
Current BLS and Handle With Care (HWC) certifications required
Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
Experience working with dementia patients required
Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start
Responsibilities
Inpatient geriatric behavioral health unit with 24 beds
Patient population is geriatric (50+) with dementia and behavioral disturbances
Patient ratio of 1:7
Uses Medhost EMR
Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Every other weekend required
No on-call requirements
No floating requirements
Provide direct nursing care to geriatric patients with dementia and behavioral disturbances
Work within a calm, team-oriented environment that values getting along well with others
Scrubs must be solid colors and facial piercings are not permitted
Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
