Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Behavioral Health position requiring 2 years of recent psychiatric experience and an active NJ or Compact RN license.
Requirements
Active RN license (NJ or Compact) required, must be in hand at time of consideration
Current BLS certification required, not expiring within 30 days of assignment start
Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required, with recent experience within the last 12 months
Nursys verification must reflect an active New Jersey or Compact license dated within 2 weeks of consideration
Responsibilities
Behavioral Health unit within a hospital setting
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
Patient ratio of 1:5
Charting system is Epic, experience a plus
Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Floating required among five hospitals within skillset (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL)
Block scheduling not permitted
Provide direct patient care within a Behavioral Health unit
RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; no requests accepted afterward, and no RTO during the first week of assignment
Navy blue scrubs required
Must complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing
Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit
COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required with no exemptions
First-time travelers accepted though not preferred
Candidates living within 50 miles of the hospital are subject to the local pay rate
