Job Description The Professional RN Team Lead is responsible for effective time management, critical thinking, delegation, and prioritization while providing direct patient care. Key responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments, monitoring, recording, and reporting changes in patient conditions.
Collaborating with the care team and participating in interdisciplinary care.
Advocating for patients and practicing ethically and professionally within their scope.
Promoting evidence-based practices and best practices related to patient care.
Maintaining clinical competence specific to the care area, including completing required education within the stipulated timeframe.
Coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team.
Communicating effectively and documenting thoroughly in the electronic medical records (EMR).
Participating in unit councils and staff meetings.
This position may require the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, as well as sitting or standing for extended periods. Employees must be able to operate the necessary equipment for the role.
Requirements Must be willing to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
Ability to float to other units as staffing permits.
Unit Description This is a 120 bed facility with three units, each accommodating a maximum of 40 residents. Each unit has a designated RN manager. The staffing ratio for this shift is 1 RN, 2 LPNs, and 4-5 CNAs per 40 residents.
A typical orientation period will involve one day on the assigned unit. Employees may wear scrubs of any color.
