Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry/Direct Observation Unit RN for a night shift stepdown position requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Requirements
Active CA RN license (Standard or Compact) in hand, no pending licenses accepted
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
Responsibilities
IMC/DOU stepdown unit in an acute care hospital setting
Night shift schedule, 7p-7a
Every other weekend required
Priority floating required for travelers
Uses Cerner EMR
Provide direct observation and telemetry monitoring care to stepdown patients
Complete 12 hours of orientation
Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
Candidates may not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and Dignity Health, within the past year
