Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring ACLS certification and post-cath/pacemaker recovery experience.
Details
36-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Full staffing model with charge RN, RN/LPN staff, and PCTs on each shift
Patient ratios of 4 to 5:1
Uses Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allyn vitals machines
Documents in Meditech EMR
Floating required to other telemetry departments, med-surg, and PCU
Weekend requirement of 3 shifts in a 4-week schedule, including Friday and Saturday nights or Saturday and Sunday days
Requirements
Active MO or compact RN license required
Current ACLS certification required
NIH Stroke Certification preferred
Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry experience required
Experience recovering post-cath patients (no sheath removal), pacemaker placements, stroke patients, amiodarone drips, and Cardizem drips required
No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
Two professional references required for Missouri placements
Additional Information
Provide cardiac telemetry nursing care in a fast-paced, high-energy environment requiring strong teamwork
Grey scrubs required for RNs
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
