Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN for a night shift assignment requiring telemetry, cardiac medication, and infusion experience.
Requirements
Active IN RN license or compact license required by start date
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU/telemetry nursing experience required
Cardiac medication and infusion experience required
Cerner charting experience preferred
Prior travel nursing experience required
Responsibilities
Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) with telemetry monitoring
Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
Patient ratio of 1:4
Every other weekend (EOW) required
No on-call responsibilities
Possible floating within scope to meet facility needs
Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and IV therapy
Skills such as arterial blood gas interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and wound care are relevant to this unit
Holiday coverage required for one of three major holidays if requesting holiday time off
Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted
Former facility employees must have a 3-year separation before returning as a traveler
First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
