Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring critical thinking and EKG interpretation skills on a 13-week day shift assignment.
Requirements
Active RN license (State or Compact) required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Critical thinking skills required
EKG interpretation skills required
Prior experience titrating cardiac medications preferred
US SSN and DOB required for consideration
One professional reference required
Responsibilities
Progressive Care Unit within a hospital setting, 36 beds
Staffing includes RNs and PCTs with patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1
Shift schedule is 7:00AM-7:00PM, 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week
Uses Meditech EMR
Occasional paracentesis or thoracentesis procedures performed on unit
Floating required to ICU or Med-Surg as needed
No weekend or on-call requirements specified
Care for progressive care patients requiring cardiac monitoring and titration of cardiac medications
Team-oriented personality is a strong fit for this unit
Navy blue scrub attire required
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
