Job description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Telemetry Progressive Care Unit position requiring an active MA license and Epic experience.
Requirements
Active MA RN license required in hand
BLS (AHA) certification required
ACLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications preferred
Must be able to titrate pressors
Level 1 trauma experience preferred, required for candidates without prior travel experience
Epic EMR experience required
Copy of current flu vaccination required during flu season
Responsibilities
Work in the Cardiac Telemetry Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital environment
Patient ratios between 1:3 and 1:5
12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
Every other weekend required (Fri, Sat, Sun for nights)
Floating required to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units in 4-hour blocks while on shift
Uses Epic EMR system
Weekly assignment start dates on Mondays
Provide progressive care nursing for cardiac telemetry patients while supporting boarding and overflow units as needed
Day one pass/fail testing administered, including Tele/ECG and Medication testsRelias practice tests available for preparation
COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius; local candidates not accepted
Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a minimum 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
First-time travelers considered only if they meet Level 1 trauma experience requirement
