Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced M/S Telemetry RN for a 36-hour night shift position requiring active MA licensure and prior traveler experience.
Requirements
Active Massachusetts RN license required, no conditional or pending licenses accepted
AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of experience in one location plus 2 years of experience as a traveler
Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
Skilled in cardiac drips, TR bands, and high-flow oxygen administration
Primary source license verification (NURSYS and BON) required within 30 days of start
Responsibilities
41-bed Medical Telemetry unit specializing in cardiac care
Patient population includes cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psych, substance use disorder, GU, and GI cases
Clinician to patient ratio of 1:5-6 on nights
13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on straight night shifts (7p-7a)
Every other weekend required
Floating required to applicable units as needed
Uses EPIC EMR for charting
Provide direct patient care on a busy cardiac telemetry unit
Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
Free on-site parking available for this unit
Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Boston are accepted at a reduced rate
RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
