Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry Float position requiring an active MA RN license and prior acute care and telemetry experience.
Requirements
Active MA RN license in hand required
Minimum of 18 months acute care experience required
Minimum of 1 year telemetry experience required
BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
Epic charting system experience required
Skills required in respiratory care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and medication administration including PCA
Experience with chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac) and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI)
Two references required for consideration, at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
Responsibilities
Float position within the Telemetry unit
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
36 hours per week with every other weekend required
Every other holiday required, including a major holiday
Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days of the week
Epic EMR experience required
Provide telemetry nursing care as part of a float pool team
Must pass a telemetry exam (80% passing score) and a medication exam during orientation, each with only one attempt allowed
Failure to pass either exam will result in immediate contract cancellation
Study materials provided during compliance process and prior to startLocal candidates accepted at the same bill rate
Must reside within 200 miles of the facility
Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
Up to 14 days of RTO can be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
