You'll be instrumental in supporting a diverse group of 8th grade students-both general education and special education-during a maternity leave coverage from August 17 to November 27. With a focused caseload of 20-25 students, you'll form meaningful connections and sharpen your skills working in varied educational settings. Exposure to different school systems and educator teams will broaden your practice, expand your toolbox of strategies, and add valuable experience to your resume.
Qualifications:
Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
Experience working with middle school-age students strongly preferred
Ability to effectively engage and support both general education and special education students
Adaptability and a proactive attitude in new environments
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities: Deliver direct and indirect social work services to 8th graders
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff for student success
Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual needs
Maintain documentation and reporting in compliance with school standards
Provide crisis intervention when necessary
