Key Responsibilities
Implement individualized treatment plans and select appropriate modalities to meet established patient goals in compliance with the Speech Therapy Practice Act and applicable hospital standards
Perform evaluations and provide effective speech therapy treatments tailored to age-specific, cultural, and rehabilitative needs
Assist in monitoring patient progress and provide safe, comprehensive discharge planning
Maintain thorough, timely, and professional patient care documentation
Facilitate interdisciplinary communication and coordination to maximize patient outcomes
Provide education and mentoring for student interns as assigned and participate in special department programs
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech Therapy or Speech Language Pathology (required if hired after July 1, 2026)
Active California Speech Therapy license issued by the ST Board of the State of California
American Heart Association BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
Outpatient pediatric speech therapy work experience strongly preferred
Prior speech therapy or broader healthcare experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly exchange information with patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary staff
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and administer department modalities, programs, and protocols appropriate to the patient population served
