Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Inpatient Rehab
Hilo, Hawaii
We are seeking a Travel Speech-Language Pathologist for a 26-week inpatient rehab contract in Hilo, Hawaii . This role is a great fit for an experienced medical SLP who is comfortable in inpatient rehab, acute care, dysphagia management, and completing modified barium swallow studies independently.
This opportunity offers a strong clinical environment with a varied rehab caseload and the chance to take an extended assignment in one of Hawaii’s most unique locations.

Responsibilities
Perform speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations.
Provide treatment for dysphagia, communication, cognitive-linguistic, and medically complex patient needs.
Complete modified barium swallow studies independently in radiology.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, PT, OT, and interdisciplinary rehab team members.
Complete timely documentation and progress reporting.
Float to other departments or facility locations as needed.
Requirements
Hawaii SLP license required by start of assignment.
Candidate must apply for Hawaii license upon acceptance if not already active.
BLS required.
Acute care experience required.
Must be competent completing MBS independently.
Minimum 1 year of experience required.
2+ years of experience preferred.
SNF, hospital, or rehab hospital experience preferred.
