Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Position Summary
Provide skilled speech-language therapy to patients on temporary travel assignments. Evaluate communication and swallowing disorders, develop individualized treatment plans, and help patients improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function.
Responsibilities
Evaluate patients and identify speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
Educate patients, caregivers, and families on therapy strategies and home programs.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Adapt quickly to different facilities, patient populations, and clinical environments.
Follow patient safety, infection-control, and professional standards.
Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current SLP license in the applicable state.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred/required as applicable.
Previous clinical experience preferred.
Strong communication, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills.
Ability to adapt to travel assignments and new healthcare environments.
BLS certification preferred/required as applicable.
